Head's up!

First choice for my upcoming posts will be Crown Princess of Denmark.  Why?

Because a young woman, unknown to anybody but her family and friends transformed from a 'girl next door' into a true fashionista after the wedding to a wealthy prince.

Perhaps with a little help of her friends in the beginning, but certainly with her own stylist later on, Mary has shown how to combine a ladylike look with the latest fashion trends.

In 2004, interviewed by Vogue the princess said, “It is important that I look smart and elegant and appropratly dressed for every occasion. I’m still developing my style to fit in with my new role.”

There is no doubt that after 10 years, Mary has clearly defined what works for her in both style and wardrobe, and found a great friend in stylist Anja Alajdi, who always chooses the appropriate clothing for her.

Now that Mary is of a certain age, of a certain status, she wears a plethora of international designers, and also some homegrown Danish ones.

One of Princess Mary's all-time favourite designer is ....... you guessed it:  PRADA!

Only the devil wears Prada? No, Princess Mary does to.

The Danish Crown Princess has achieved and created a clever and subtle mix of mundane fashion combined with regal elegance that makes her the style icon for women everywhere.

Enough gushing about the natural innovator of royal fashion though........

The head's up is that I will not post according to designers. I'll begin with dates and occasions to highlight Mary's unpretentious charm in mixing her wardrobe of exclusive pieces with common accessories.

Also we only will look at her new acquired pieces. Her wardrobe is so vast it would take months and months to backtrack hundreds of shoes, accessories, and clothes.
