Princess Mary participates in the awarding of the Danish Cancer Society Honesty Award
It is known that Health and Family is very important for princess Mary, especially since her own mother, Henrietta Donaldson, died after a heart operation in 1997, several years before Mary met Crown Prince Frederick and had children.
Is it wondrous that Mary is deeply involved in social development, health issues and humanitarian aid on a national and international level. Of course not!
She even has a Cancer Center named after her: "The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead".
Westmead, Denmark? No, no, no, it's Westmead in Australia (western Sidney area).
The Centre is an International ESMO-designated Integrated Cancer Centres and the only one in NSW and one of 3 in Australia. The Cancer Centre was completed in 2008 and Princess Mary visited
And do you believe it, there is even a "Crown Princess Mary Cancer Center Symposium". This year it will be held on Friday 21st November on the anniversary of the renaming of The Crown Princess Mary Cancer Centre Westmead and will feature presentations from world leading clinicians and researchers from Australia and Denmark.
Mary is not only Crown Princess of Denmark, but also Crown Princess of Australia.
