Holiday in Verbier
In keeping with their family tradition Prince Frederik
and Princess
Mary were back on the slopes enjoying a winter break in
Switzerland with their youngsters.
Verbier, a favorite destination of the Danish royals, has
become an annual vacation spot for Frederik's family. But the resort town attracts other royals and celebrities,
too. Its list of past visitors includes relatives of the Danish Royal Family,
the Princes William
and Harry, their cousins Beatrice and Eugenie, and the Beckham family.
Verbier….ahhhh….. a village located in
south-western Switzerland in the canton of Valais. It is a holiday resort and
ski area in the Swiss Alps and is recognized as one of the premiere "off-piste"
resorts in the world, where Royals hustle and bustle with the wealthy, the
famous, and sometimes also the wannabe’s.
As Princess Mary has small children, she wasn't able to better her skiing skills for the past years. Taking care of Christian, shortly thereafter Isabella, and then the twins, doesn't give one much time for oneself.
Hmmm....I thought they take the nannies on holidays as well......?
It surely is difficult to learn to ski in Australia, and I can imagine that Mary was occupied with lots of other things after her move to Denmark. So it is great to see that she finally had the time to take some lessons 2 years ago
What else is there to do though. It's a great little village with lots of little shops and dining, but the main reason to stay there is really skiing. Ha, ha, no worries, our crafty Princess Mary knows how to help.
Invite a couple friends, and while the men chase down the piste, girls go wild shopping, and hanging out. Voila!
This year Princess Mary wore a new Monclair jacket. Granted she has quite a collection of ski jackets, but I don't think she had this particular one yet.
